🚧 High School Construction Safety Notice
Construction has begun on the new bus barn funded through the bond issue, along with hail-damage repairs to several buildings at the high school.
For everyone’s safety, please do not drive into the driveway between the weight room and the Event Center. Please do not drive to the track, ag building, or gym area.
There are numerous workers, construction vehicles, equipment, and building materials throughout the area. Limiting traffic will help protect visitors and construction crews while allowing the work to continue safely and efficiently.

We finished up our summer livestock judging week with swine day at Big 3 Field Days today! Our students did an outstanding job and finished their strongest with hogs. I am so proud of these students, as many of them have very few classes under their belts and we even threw a new member into the fire that has absolutely no practice!! Our senior team ended up placing 46th out of over 200 teams of almost 600 senior FFA members at Big 3 and 15th out of 44 teams at NOC Sheep field day.

Our FFA officers are spending some quality time working on plans for a successful year!! They have worked on scheduling, prioritizing our activities and working as a team! They have big plans and are super excited to get started! We also had a guest speaker today that came and made our afternoon super engaging and fun! Thank you Cooper Kline for spending time with us today!
DCLA FFA has a very busy July scheduled!! We kicked it off the best way possible with two of our officers attending Alumni Camp this week! They met new people, learned leadership skills, and made memories that will last a lifetime! We can't wait to see what activities they bring back to the chapter! Stay tuned for our next adventure!

This spring's severe hailstorm caused approximately $2.4 million in damage to Deer Creek-Lamont Public Schools facilities. Over the coming weeks, community members will notice contractors and repair crews on campus as roofing, windows, and other damaged areas are repaired or replaced.
We are grateful to report that the district's insurance coverage will cover the cost of these repairs, allowing us to restore our facilities without placing an additional financial burden on taxpayers.
We appreciate the patience and support of our students, staff, families, and community as this work is completed and our campus is returned to excellent condition.

After 47 years of dedicated service to Deer Creek-Lamont Schools, Cathy Aldrich has announced her retirement effective June 30, 2026. In her resignation letter, Cathy reflected on the blessings, friendships, memories, and opportunities she has experienced while serving as both Business Manager and Music Teacher for our district.
For nearly five decades, Cathy has been a constant presence in our school and community. Through her work in the business office and her passion for music education, she has impacted generations of students, families, staff, and community members. Her dedication, kindness, and unwavering commitment to DCLA have helped shape our school into what it is today.
While it is difficult to imagine Deer Creek-Lamont without Cathy, we are incredibly grateful for the legacy she leaves behind and the countless lives she has touched along the way.
