We are a couple of weeks into the school year, and this is a great time to check grades, attendance, and missing assignments. Families can log in to the gradebook using the same credentials used to register students. Working together early helps students stay on track. #StudentSuccess #DCLAEagles

Students are putting their coding skills to the test! They created sequences of commands to make coding robots function and travel along a line. Along the way, students practiced problem-solving, logical thinking, and perseverance as they tested their code, identified errors, and made adjustments.

🧠🏆 Quiz Bowl is back!
Our high school Quiz Bowl team held its first practice today, and we’re excited to get the season underway! Five members of last year’s team are returning, bringing experience and plenty of competitive spirit with them.

FFA members are selling Blue and Gold and T&D Meats products to help fund their 2026-2027 year! This money is used for contests, classroom supplies, leadership conferences, conventions, chapter t-shirts and so much more! Missing just two days of school each month can add up to nearly 10% of the school year. These absences can make it harder for students to keep up with learning, stay connected with classmates, and participate in important school experiences.
DCLA’s districtwide goal is 95% attendance. When students are healthy, arriving at school on time and attending all day helps us reach that goal.
If something is making regular attendance difficult for your child, please contact the school. We want to listen, work with your family, and help find solutions.

Before school, a group of students turned recess time into a fun building challenge! They worked together to see if they could build a tower taller than Mrs. Shipley while using as few connecting cubes as possible—and without letting it break! 😄
It took teamwork, problem-solving, balance, and plenty of determination. We love seeing students use their creativity and work together—even before the school day officially begins! ❤️🤍💙

Please help us keep the school zone safe before and after school. Harrison Street in front of the high school is a one-way street during arrival and dismissal times. All students and parents should exit by traveling west. Thank you for driving slowly, watching for students, and showing patience as everyone settles into the school routine.
